Snow hits the airwaves
"Let it Snow" is the newest Esurance commercial airing on tv now. For this spot, Ghostbot was given the task of designing "Snow bunny" Erin and storyboarding, while animation duties were handled by the internal crew at Wild Brain.
We're working on more adventures of Erin, so stay tuned!

WOW!!! I've been LOVING the esurance commercials!! I've searched all over trying to find out who was behind them and finally ran across the cold hard flash interview and suddenly everything made sense! I immediately recognized the Ghostbot name because I already have your portfolio page in my favorite places list. awesome awesome work!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words! Esurance has been a great campaign to work on from the ground up. Alan's done one heckuva job spear-heading the Ghostbot effort. You can always tell the projects that he works on because that dude's got octane for blood...

These spots remind me a lot of the Penelope Pitstop animation that appeared online a few years ago. Their pace, buts and character design is very similar. Did you have any role in those? I searched your site, but didn't see any mention of it. Anyway. Great job on these spots. Good luck.

Animike... regarding your question... the answer is yes... Penelope was a big inspiration for the Esurance campaign.
I directed, designed, boarded and animated Penelope Pitstop GT which can be found on the "portfolio" section of the Ghostbot main page.

The design of Erin was created by Wildbrain director Phil Robinson and me. She's sort of our artistic love child, as she has cute expressions and proportions that Phil digs and an edgy/anime inspired style that I enjoy.
The best is yet to come as we just recently wrapped up one of our favorite Esurance spots yet. Can’t wait to share!
Ah! You must be wary of those infatuations of the animated kind. Although, I see where you are coming from. I love P. Pitstop. Keep up the great work.
